So, here I am... in distant Istanbul. And as promised, I will be reporting from here via blog for the next 4.5 months.First of all, to everyone who asked: I arrived safely and haven't noticed anything about the floods here. On the way from the airport to the city, I did see some flood debris on the streets from the subway/tram, but it wasn’t too much.Well, I’m now living in a shared apartment with two Turkish students, but only one of them (Murat) is here at the moment. The other one (Apo) is still in Antalya or somewhere. Murat is very nice and invited me to eat Pide in the evening. After that, we went for tea with his friends.

Today is enrollment, and the day after tomorrow, orientation starts, where I'll get to know the other Erasmus students. I'm excited! :-)

Anyway, I should get going to the university now. Sending lots of love back home!
