Golden Rain Over Istanbul for the 86th Anniversary

So, the Turks on the Bosporus might have no clue how to make a good döner, but there’s one thing they definitely know how to do: blow heavy metal into the sky! :D :D Damn, that was an amazing fireworks show!

I was out with two friends, and we first had to take a little detour under the bridge to get to a good viewing spot. Unfortunately, that was already so exciting that by the time the fireworks started, my camera battery was dead :D So, no photos… but at least I got to fully enjoy the spectacle!

My personal highlight was definitely the minutes-long golden rain and, of course, the magnesium moon against a strontium backdrop. :)

I can’t wait for New Year’s Eve!!!
