Progress Report

And once again, two weeks have flown by in which I somehow didn’t manage to write. Today is Turkey’s national holiday, and everyone has the day off. I’m sitting on a friend’s couch right now, taking the time to give you a little update.

Autumn has now arrived in Istanbul as well, and of course, I immediately caught a cold (I really need to stop dancing naked in the rain :D). Last week, I spent three days in bed just sleeping. Strangely, it was really relaxing :-) Who knows when I’ll be able to afford that again…

The next two weeks are packed with mid-term exams, and at some point, I also have to give my astronomy presentation. The week after that, my place will be full of visitors (Katja, Kruck, Lea). According to Murphy’s Law, the unofficial Student Exchange Committee just had to pick that exact weekend for the obligatory Erasmus trip... So I’ll probably have to leave Kruck and Lea behind in Istanbul, but Katja is coming with me on the trip!

And our destination is: Cappadocia! I’m really looking forward to it and promise to take lots of beautiful pictures :-)

The whole trip situation is a bit strange this year. The university banned the official committee because they were apparently just partying with the exchange students. But luckily, organizing things these days isn’t too difficult— even in Turkey. (Uhm… I’d better not say anything critical while I’m still here :D)

Anyway, now for some pictures from the last few days… or maybe not. I just realized I left my camera at the studio last night. AAAH!! Damn it :..( Okay, hopefully tomorrow then.

@Holgi: Happy Birthday! Sorry, I don’t have time to write you an email because there’s going to be a huge fireworks display on the Bosphorus Bridge soon, and I need to head out… So I’m just hoping you’ll read this :-) Big hug!
